The capital of Spain has once again been shaken by a deadly episode of street violence.
According to the Madrid emergency services, an 18-year-old Spanish national died on Wednesday after receiving several stab wounds to the back and abdomen in the Los Angeles neighborhood, which is part of the Madrid district of Villaverde Alto.

According to what several witnesses told the police, the victim was attacked around 12:40 in a vacant lot near some old train tracks by a dozen young people. That is why the police do not rule out that it could be a settling of scores related to other street fights that have recently occurred in Madrid, where clashes between Latino street gangs are becoming common.
After being stabbed, the boy was able to walk several meters until he collapsed on Calle de Alcocer, in front of a Mercadona supermarket.
Several passers-by notified the 112 emergency service, after finding him lying on the ground.
Bladed weapons found
Health workers and the Madrid municipal police tried to revive the victim at the scene, but they could only confirm his death. Agents from the Homicide Group of the National Police have taken charge of the investigation.
According to preliminary information, several bladed weapons have been found near the scene and are being analyzed.
If it is finally confirmed that this is another clash between Latino gangs, it would be the fourth crime registered in Madrid due to fights between gang members so far this year.
