The Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has met with the heads of large US investment funds (Ares Management, Carlyle Group, JP Morgan, KKR, L-Catterton, Providence Equity and AmCham) to discuss Spain's macroeconomic outlook in the current geopolitical context and investment opportunities in the country.
The meeting was held in the format of a working breakfast.
According to government information, Sánchez discussed with them the fight against inflation and interest rate rises, the energy crisis and high energy prices, and the major axes of future growth promoted by the Government of Spain based on the digital and green agenda, such as the design and production of semiconductors, electric vehicles and the green hydrogen economy.
In front of this group of businesspeople, the Prime Minister expressed his confidence in the strength of the Spanish economy.
Sánchez also detailed the progress of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and detailed the measures taken by Spain in the fight against climate change.
