The Spanish police have arrested in Seville a 38-year-old man suspected of producing images of child pornography to later distribute them on the internet.

According to a press release from the National Police (CNP), investigators have identified three underage girls, including his own daughter, as victims.

The suspect used them to create his own pedophile content.

The detainee, a resident of the Sevillian neighborhood of Los Pajaritos, also established contact with other minors online, through false profiles on social networks. Investigators believe that he was thus trying to attract other potential victims. To do this, he used tools that allowed him to keep his IP address hidden.

The investigation began when the police located a user of a photohosting (image hosting service that allows uploading and sending personal images on the Internet) who could be residing in Spain and who uploaded several illegal images. The images showed the genitalia of different girls, and could be classified as material of child sexual abuse, according to the police.

Russian social network

The police verified that the user was actively participating in a Russian social network in which pedophiles establish a first contact to find out their tastes and exchange unpublished child sexual abuse material. After further investigation, it was possible to identify the user and establish his location in Seville.

The police were also able to identify three minors who were victims of the crime of producing child pornography.

One of the victims was the suspect's own daughter, while the other two belonged to his family circle, police say.

The detainee has been charged also with possession and distribution of material for the sexual exploitation of minors.
