Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will earn 86,542.08 euros in 2022 for his work.
The vice presidents or deputy prime ministers (currently three) will receive a salary of 81,341.16 euros and the government ministers will get 76,355.28 euros.
This is stated in the draft of the State budget, which this week the government sent to the lower house of Parliament to begin its processing.
The amounts to be received by members of the government will grow 2% compared to the previous year.
Said increase is the same salary increase established for Spanish public officials in the draft budget.
In Spain, salaries are generally calculated with fourteen payments - there are two extraordinary pays in July and December. But the salaries of the prime minister and the holders of ministerial portfolios are divided into twelve monthly payments. Members of the government are not entitled to extraordinary pay.
The highest public salary
In 2022, the highest public salaries in Spain will be those received by the members of the Constitutional Court.
The president of the Constitutional Court, Juan José González Rivas, has the best paid position with 160,728.12 euros per year.
This amount almost doubles the prime minister's salary.
For his part, the president of the Supreme Court will earn 145,361.14 euros.
The allocation for the Royal House in 2022 is 8.43 million euros, the same as in 2021.
