A teenage girl has been shot near a petrol station in Botkyrka, outside the Swedish capital Stockholm, police said on Sunday.
The girl, less than 15 years old, was found in the early hours of Sunday morning and died of her injuries, a statement said.
The police are investigating the case as murder but have not yet detained any suspects.
The girl was born in 2007 and was not the target of the shooting, according to a report in the Express newspaper.
Swedish police also reported further incidents in the area, including a collision.
Another dead minor
Three young people in a lightweight vehicle crashed into a patrol car at an intersection in Taby, which like Botkyrka is located in Stockholm County.
One of the three passengers, also a minor, died of their injuries.
No officers were injured in the accident.
