A Russian military aircraft briefly violated Swedish airspace.
The Swedish military said on Saturday evening that the AN-30 propeller plane had initially been east of the Danish Baltic Sea island of Bornholm the previous evening and had then flown towards Swedish territory.
South of Blekinge, it violated Swedish airspace for a short time before leaving the area again.
Swedish fighter jets followed the incident and photographed the aircraft. Four Russian fighter jets had already briefly violated the airspace over Sweden at the beginning of March.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine more than two months ago, Sweden and neighbouring Finland have been intensively discussing the possibility of joining NATO.
Russia has warned the two northernmost states of the EU several times against such a step.
