Rock band KISS cancel show after frontman tests positive for Covid-19
The glam rock band KISS on Thursday cancelled a concert in the US at short notice after frontman Paul Stanley tested positive for Covid-19.
The band said in a statement posted on Twitter on Thursday said that a show set to take place in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania later that evening was "unfortunately postponed" due to Stanley's positive test result.
"Everyone on the entire tour, both band and crew, are fully vaccinated. The band and their crew have operated independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at each show and in between shows," the statement continued.
The band said that more information about show dates would be made available as soon as possible.
"PEOPLE!!! I am fine! I am not in ICU! My heart allows me to do 26 miles a day on my bike! I don’t know where this came from but it’s absolute nonsense," Stanley, 69, tweeted earlier on.
The frontman said he was "sick with flu-like symptoms" and repeated tests gave negative results until he tested positive on Thursday afternoon.
