Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are engaged, the couple announced Sunday.
“Do you like it?” Asghari could be heard asking as Spears flashing her diamond-clad hand in a short Instagram video captioned, “I can’t f---ing believe it!!!!!!”
The pair, aged 39 and 27, respectively, had been dating for just over four years after meeting on the set of Spears’ 'Slumber Party' music video in 2016.
Asghari’s manager Brandon Cohen shared separately that he is “proud to celebrate and confirm the engagement,” People reported, adding that the ring was designed by jeweler Roman Malayev.
“The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them, Cohen told People, saying of Malayev, “He couldn’t be happier to be involved and make this one-of-a-kind ring.”
The move comes not long after the singer’s father, Jamie Spears, filed a petition to end the pop star’s 13-year-old court conservatorship, which she has been battling to do in court.

“If Ms. Spears wants to terminate the conservatorship and believes that she can handle her own life, Mr. Spears believes that she should get that chance,” the petition filed in Los Angeles Superior Court said.
He had agreed in August to step down, but without giving a timetable. He had been controlling her affairs since 2008.
