The Spanish railway operator Renfe opened the registration period for its 2022 public employment offer on Wednesday.
The offer consists of 975 jobs, of which the majority, 600, are for train drivers. In addition, there are another 375 jobs offered for commercial income operators, that is, for ticket office services.
According to a statement released by the public company, of the 600 positions offered for train drivers, 430 are for services at the state level, with a geographical location yet to be determined based on existing needs. Another 150 driver jobs are for the areas of Catalonia, Extremadura, Miranda de Ebro and Zaragoza.
There are 20 more vacancies reserved for cross-border traffic services: 8 in Irun, 8 in Portbou and 4 in Barcelona.
In addition, the public job offer includes the call for 375 positions of commercial operators (300 at the state level and 75 for Catalonia), which represents 70 more jobs than in the 2021 job offer.
The requirements
The jobs will have as a reference the labor and remuneration conditions established in the Collective Agreement of the Renfe Group.
The registration period to apply for one of these positions is open until 27 February 2022.
