El Corte Inglés to hire 6,000 people for the Christmas sales campaign
El Corte Inglés intends to hire 6,000 people nationwide to reinforce its staff in the Christmas sales campaign, the Spanish department store giant announced Tuesday.
According to the company, those hired will cover different positions related to sales, mainly in areas such as toys, food and hospitality.
El Corte Inglés said in a statement that this reinforcement of the workforce aims to "improve the customer's shopping experience and offer the best service and quality that distinguishes the company."
The new professionals will be integrated into the usual tasks of commercial activity within the different sections of the stores, as well as in special services for these important dates such as gift packaging and other auxiliary tasks.
The company has developed a training program focused on sales and customer service to incorporate these people into the commercial activity.
