Trains no longer stop at Helsinki Airport due to Covid-19
Local trains no longer stop at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The reason behind this policy is the coronavirus situation, and the policy is in place until further notice.
According to Helsinki Region Transport (HSL), a shuttle bus service will be provided to airport staff and domestic air passengers between the airport and Aviapolis station every 20 minutes.
This week people who have already arrived in Finland have not been strictly guided to their home quarantine.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Sanna Marin admitted during parliamentary Question time that the quarantine instructions have not been clear enough for the passengers who arrive at airports.
Many newcomers have only walked from the ground to the ground, without adequate guidance or even the requirement of quarantine. They have traveled normally in full buses and trains with others and continued their daily lives.
HSL announced the new policy on its website. If you want to read it, you can access it HERE
