According to a press release, new routes from Helsinki Airport are to London, Milan, Riga, Warsaw, Brussels, Kaunas, Paris, and Poznan.
Ryanair also adds one new Tampere-Pirkkala route with London Stansted operating 2 flights per week.
“We are delighted to expand our operations in Finland and return to Helsinki Airport with 29 departing flights per week across eight routes along with the addition of London Stansted to our Tampere-Pirkkala schedule, with 2 flights per week,” says CEO of Ryanair, Eddie Wilson.
"Finnish consumers and tourists can now plan their winter getaway – as far out as March ’22 – on even lower fares and with the option to avail of Ryanair’s zero change fee should plans change," the airline said in its press release.
Finavia's senior Vice President Petri Vuori celebrated Ryanair's announcement:
"We are happy that Ryanair is opening new routes from Helsinki Airport and Tampere-Pirkkala. We are pleased that Ryanair decided to make such a significant decision. It’s great that Finland’s wide range of good flight connections is gradually recovering. This is a signal that we are moving towards better times. Travelling through Finavia’s airports is smooth and safe,” Vuori said.
