Iceland's government said on Tuesday that tourists arriving from Germany, Denmark, Finland and Norway no longer need to be tested for the coronavirus, as long as they have not travelled to an area classified as high risk in the past 14 days.
Iceland's chief epidemiologist Thorolfur Gudnason has classified these countries as low risk, along with the autonomous Danish regions of Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Travellers arriving in Iceland from other countries may be tested for the virus on arrival, a ruling in place since June 15 that allows arrivals not to have to enter a 14-day period of self isolation.
