Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin (35) received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine on Friday.
The prime minister released the news herself through her social media accounts.
And she posted a photo on Twitter and Instagram in which she smiles as she shows the patch on her left arm, where she received the shot.
Ensimmäinen koronarokote saatu. Kesä on täällä. Aurinko paistaa. 🙏🏻 Huomenna #Huuhkajat vie Tanskaa kuin litran mittaa. ⚽️ pic.twitter.com/wv8dL1pMjw

"First vaccine received, summer is here. The sun is shining. Tomorrow the Eagle Owls (Finland's football national team) will dominate Denmark," she wrote.
Finland plays its first Euro 2020 football match in Copenhagen against Denmark on Saturday.
Hopefully the squad trained by Markku Kanerva will get extra encouragement and strength from the words of the head of the government.
