Sevilla can continue the chase for a record-extending seventh Europa League/UEFA Cup title in the final in their own stadium after surviving their play-off second leg away to Dinamo Zagreb with 1-0 defeat.

Mislav Oršić struck the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the 65th minute but this was not enough to overturn a 3-1 first leg defeat despite Thomas Delaney's late red card for the guests.

"Our assessment is positive, we'll be in the draw and it's not easy," said Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui. "We knew we were going to suffer and we couldn't get carried away by the result of the first leg."

Sevilla now enter Friday's last 16 draw along with RB Leipzig, who won 3-1 at Real Sociedad to progress 5-3 on aggregate.

Andre Silva grabbed a superb second half winner after Willi Orban had opened the scoring on the rebound from Silva's missed penalty before the break.

Martín Zubimendi pulled one back for the hosts but they could not find the equalizer to force extra-time and Emil Forsberg's late penalty put the game beyond doubt.

"The opening goal is always an important one," said Orban.

"I don't know how often I follow in a shot at a penalty. Today I could reward the team, so it was a good feeling."

Atalanta won 3-0 at Olympiacos to go through 5-1 and Porto drew 2-2 at Lazio to progress 4-3.

Borussia Dortmund crashed out of the Europa League at the play-off phase with a 2-2 draw in Glasgow not enough to turn around a 4-2 defeat at home to Rangers last week.
