Two Romanian seasonal workers died and three others have been seriously injured after a bus accident in Andalusia.
The tragic event occurred after the bus in which fifteen people were traveling from the Sevillian town of Pedrera to work in the collection of garlic in the fields in Antequera (Málaga) overturned, the emergency services and local authorities said.
The three seriously injured have been transferred to Osuna hospital. Other people with minor injuries have been treated at nearby health centers.
The mayor of Pedrera, Antonio Nogales, explained that the two deceased are Romanian workers who were on their way to Antequera to work harvesting garlic. The deceased and injured are part of the large group of Romanian nationals settled in this Sevillian town for years.
The authorities learned of the overturning of the bus at 6:50 in the morning, after receiving a notice from the emergency service.
