Man caught in Malaga for driving at 295 km/h on AP-7 motorway
The driver also recorded his action on video, later uploading it to a popular social network
The Spanish Civil Guard investigates the case of a 29-year-old man in Malaga for driving at 295 kilometers per hour on the AP7 Mediterranean highway.
According to a press release from the Ministry of the Interior, the suspect also carried out various dangerous maneuvers, such as zigzag overtaking or driving through the side of the road, which put the lives of other road users at risk.
Investigators believe that the man is the perpetrator of a crime against road safety for "reckless driving with manifest disregard for the lives of others."
The driver also recorded his action on video, later uploading it to a popular social network.
Inside the vehicle there were also two women who were trying to convince the driver to stop his dangerous behavior.
The driver, along with the proceedings, has been placed at the disposal of a Court of Fuengirola (Malaga).
What the law says
Article 380 of Chapter IV of the Penal Code defines crimes against road safety and establishes the following penalties:
"Anyone who drives a motor vehicle or moped with manifest recklessness and puts the life or integrity of persons in concrete danger will be punished with imprisonment from six months to two years and deprivation of the right to drive motor vehicles and mopeds for a time greater than one and up to six years ".
