Finnish Central Criminal Police (Keskusrikospoliisi) have reported the arrest near Tampere of two people suspected of being involved in the shooting last night in Porvoo, which left two police officers injured.

According to the information published by the Central Criminal Police in its Twitter account, the arrests took place in the Tampere area at 20:36, after a road chase that lasted around half an hour and in which the suspects opened fire against the police vehicles. According to several witnesses, the suspects car was a Volvo with Swedish number plates.

The police have reported that, fortunately, no personal damage has occurred due to the shots. However, there are several police vehicles damaged after being hit by bullets.

The police will publish more information about the incident on Monday.
