Three Moroccan students gained a place to study at Haaga-Helia University
All three have been accepted to study Business Administration in Finland after passing the entrance exam held in Rabat. Managers of Akademia.fi confirmed they are working to organize similar tests also in Algeria and Tunisia.
Three more Moroccan students have passed the entrance exams to study next year at Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences.
According to Haaga-Helia sources, the three students have obtained a place to study in English a programme on Business Administration on the campus that the institution has in the city of Porvoo (east of Helsinki region)
The students have obtained their places after passing the entrance exams organized on 26 and 27 October by Akademia.fi, a Finnish project specialized in the search and recruitment of highly talented students in the area of North Africa and the Middle East.
The exam consisted on personal interviews with the prospect students and some written tests to measure for example their English language skills, basic mathematics and logical thinking skills.
A residence permit based on studies
Now, admitted students are entitled to apply for a residence permit based on studies. Once they get the residence permit and when the other requirements have been met, their arrival in Finland is expected in March 2020 at the latest. They will be entitled to begin studying in the spring term of 2020, according to Haaga-Helia sources.
The organizers confirmed they are already working on the preparation for the next entrance exam, which will be held in Rabat in March 2020. Registration is already open and the students who fulfill the academic conditions will be able to compete for study places in Finland for the next autumn. Haaga-Helia will travel again to the Moroccan capital in Spring in order to evaluate the applicants.
