A stabbing took place last Friday at a nightclub in the Malmi neighborhood (north east Helsinki).
According to a report received by the Helsinki Police, the incident occurred at 4:00 in the morning at the Lucky Lady club in Kirkonkyläntie street.
The police officers who came to the scene were the first to provide first aid to the victim, who was later taken to a hospital.
Attempted murder
The police deny that the victim died, as has apparently been said in some forums. However, the case is being investigated as an attempted murder.
"Shortly after the incident, the police arrested a man in the vicinity of the restaurant who had a bloody knife in his hand," said Petri Rainiala, Director of Investigation at the Helsinki Police Department.
