The Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, has tested negative for coronavirus.
The result of the test was announced by the head of government this afternoon on her Twitter account.
However, Marin said the mild respiratory symptoms she suffers from still continue. Therefore, she will continue working remotely for a while.
Marín used the same tweet to remind the population that it is important not to go to work with symptoms of the Covid-19 disease, so as not to expose other people to the virus.
The Prime Minister announced on Tuesday 18 August, on Twitter her decision to move to telecommuting and undergo a coronavirus test because she suffered from mild respiratory symptoms.
Shortly after, the news was officially reported by the Government's Communication Department.
