The Southwest Finland Police Department is asking for citizen collaboration to find the perpetrator of an alleged attempted rape and robbery.
The police have distributed a blurred photo of the main suspect and have appealed to citizens to provide any information to clarify the event.
According to the little police information available, the events occurred on Sunday, around 17:00 in the afternoon, in the town of Parainen (or Pargas, in Swedish), a municipality with a majority Swedish-speaking population located in the Archipelago region, south of the Turku city.
A woman was running down Skrabbontie Street when a man behind her, who also appeared to be running for sport, attacked her and dragged her into the woods.
According to the police, the woman resisted the aggressor and managed to get rid of him.
20-30 years old
The perpetrator took away her mobile phone and headphones, but shortly after he threw the mobile back at her and fled the scene with the headphones, which were later found in the woods.
The suspect was about 20-30 years old, about 190 cm tall, with dark hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white sleeveless shirt, green shorts, and greenish-yellow sneakers.
The police ask those who think they have seen the suspect to report the information to the Parainen police station (tel. 0295 446 710).
