Helsinki police reported the discovery of the body of a woman who had been reported missing ten days ago in Helsinki.
On Friday 28 May, the Finnish capital's police department reported the disappearance of a 28-year-old woman in Rastila, a suburb east of Helsinki. The police had distributed 2 photos to help locate the missing woman.
According to police information, the young woman was found dead on Friday, 4 June, but the finding was not reported until Sunday.
Police say "no crime is suspected" in connection with the woman's death, a euphemism often used by the Finnish authorities in suicide cases. With the limited information available, the phrase could also fit the description of an accidental death case.
The police say that a "normal" inquiry into the cause of death is continuing and they appreciate the citizen collaboration to find the victim.
