Jari Gustafsson, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, will visit Athens on 23–24 October 2019 to meet ministers, representatives of ministries and organisations, and researchers. His programme also includes a meeting with representatives of Finnish companies operating in Greece.
Finland and Greece have good bilateral relations, and bilateral trade is now showing slight growth after a few difficult years, explained the Government in a press release.
Discussions held during the visit will focus on issues of interest during Finland’s Presidency of the EU Council, such as the EU’s internal market, competition and industrial policy, energy policy, and negotiations on the EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework.
Permanent Secretary Gustafsson will also have more extensive discussions with representatives of ministries and organisations as well as researchers about business and economy in Greece.
