Man shot to death in Espoo
The police updated on Wednesday afternoon the information regarding the shooting that occurred on Tuesday night in Espoo. The man who had been rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds has died.
According to a new press release by the National Bureau of Investigation (Keskusrikospoliisi, in Finnish), on Tuesday evening around 21:00 the emergency center received "numerous reports" of shots in Kariksentie, in the Suurpelto area.
Many police and rescue units were sent to investigate the situation at the scene, where a man born in 1995 was found wounded by a shot. He was transferred to hospital and later died from the injuries, police says.
Two other men, both born in 1980, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Two guns have been found near the scene.
In their first press release, the police said that the events had not endangered any passer-by. However, now they say the homicide happened "in a place with several bystanders."

The pre-trial investigation continues now with a technical investigation and hearings of witnesses and suspects in order to clarify the motive for the shooting.
