Among large cities, the rents of non-subsidised rental dwellings increased most in Vantaa year-on-year in the third quarter of 2019, according to Statistics Finland.

Rent for market financed dwellings have increased least in Seinäjoki, Hämeenlinna and Kotka.

In Greater Helsinki, rents have risen by 6.3% and in the rest of the country by 5.2%.
Compared to the year 2015 rents have risen almost everywhere, but the annual increase in rents has slowed down in recent years across the country.
The average rent level of non-subsidised rental dwellings is still highest in Helsinki, 20.5 euros per m².
In new tenancies signed in the last six months the average price of a rented square meter was 22.1 euros per m² in Helsinki, 15.8 euros per m² in Tampere, and 15 euros per m² in Turku.
These data derive from Statistics Finland's quarterly statistics on rents of dwellings, which is based on data from the Social Insurance Institution housing aid register and private rental housing companies.
