According to the Finnish Government, Prime Minister Sanna Marin will visit Berlin on Wednesday, 19 February. In the German capital city, she will meet Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The Government Communications Department informed that discussions will include, among others, the future financial framework of the EU and the long-term budget of the Union for 2021-2027.
The next day, EU leaders will meet in Brussels for an extraordinary meeting of the European Council to agree on a financial framework.
Prime Minister Marin and Chancellor Merkel will also discuss other topical EU issues, such as the European Green Development Program and the German EU Presidency starting in July, as well as international issues.
