Finland's seasonally adjusted industrial production grew by 0.5% in July from the month before. Similarly, industrial output adjusted for working days was 3.8% higher in July 2019 than in July 2018, according to the latest data produced by Statistics Finland.
Adjusted for working days, industrial output also went up by 2.1% in January to July compared to one year back.
Examined by main industry, seasonally adjusted industrial output grew most in July in mining and quarrying (12.6%), in the forest industry (3%) and in the metal industry (2.2%). Output decreased from the previous month in the chemical industry, by 1.4%, and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 3.7%.
Revised data for July 2019 will be published in October 2019 in connection with the release of industrial output data for August 2019.
The revision is influenced by the estimation used in the latest release, which is based on the Tax Administration's data on self-assessed taxes used for enterprises with fewer than 50 employees.
