Coronavirus samples from former President Ahtisaari tested negative
Former First Lady Eeva Ahtisaari had also tested positive for Covid-19 after she attended Women's Day Concert with President Halonen.
The latest coronavirus samples from President Martti Ahtisaari and his wife Eeva Ahtisaari have been found to be negative.
"They continue to recover," said the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland in a press release on Tuesday.
On Tuesday 24 March, the Office of the President of the Republic informed that President Ahtisaari had got coronavirus (koronavirus, in Finnish).
Three days before, on Saturday 21 March, his wife Eeva Ahtisaari, also tested positive for coronavirus. But at that time Martti Ahtisaari was found in good condition and had not been diagnosed with coronavirus symptoms.
Concert at Musiikkitalo
President Halonen and Eeva Ahtisaari were present at the Women's Day celebration concert at the Helsinki Music Center (Musiikkitalo).
The city of Helsinki admitted that seven people attending the concert had been infected with Covid-19.
Concert performers, audiences and staff may also have been exposed to the coronavirus.
