Sara Nissinen, the 25-year-old woman reported missing in Kajaani by police on Monday, was found dead.
She had disappeared on Friday morning 14 August. According to police information, she was last seen walking away from a roadside rest area in Nuottijärvi, heading south.
The police released a photo of the missing woman and asked the public for help in finding her.
Her body was found on Monday afternoon 17 August in the nearby.
"Kajaani police are investigating the cause of death and no further information will be provided," police said in a press release.
