CEO of airline SAS announces plans to step down after 10 years
The CEO of Scandinavian Airlines, Rickard Gustafson, is stepping down on July 1 at the latest, after 10 years at the helm, the airline also known as SAS said on Monday.
It's not yet known who will take over for the 56-year-old.
"After 10 intense and stimulating years, the time has come for me to pass on the baton to the next CEO of SAS during the first half of 2021," said Gustafson in a statement.
The airline serving as the flag carrier for Denmark, Norway and Sweden is performing strongly in the Scandinavian market and is well-positioned to lead the aviation sector towards a more sustainable future once the coronavirus pandemic is over.

Gustafson said that he was leaving SAS for a position with one of Sweden's largest industry groups.
The Gothenburg-based SKF bearing and seal manufacturing company said in a separate announcement that Gustafson would be joining it as CEO in the first half of 2021.
