Another false alarm.
According to central Finland’s journal Keskisuomalainen, the laboratory results show that the person tested in Jyväskylä on Wednesday for the coronavirus is not infected.
The patient was sampled because he had traveled to the epidemic area and had symptoms of a respiratory infection. On Tuesday, this person started to feel bad and reported the case to the authorities while traveling by train from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Jyväskyla.
As a result, the Finnish railway operator (VR) removed from the circulation for cleaning the train coaches in this person suspected of carrying conavirus could have traveled.
Another possible coronavirus case was investigated in Mikkeli on Wednesday. The laboratory test results are expected for today.
According to the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL, in its Finnish acronym), so far 30 patients who met the sampling criteria have been examined in Finland. To date, two laboratory-confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been identified in the country.
