Nationwide telephone counseling on coronavirus
Finnish authorities launched on Wednesday a nationwide telephone helpline on the new coronavirus (or koronavirus, in Finnish).
In this phone line, citizens will get general information on the disease, reported today the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL, in its Finnish acronym).
The counseling number is 0295 535 535.
Telephone help desk is open from 8 am to 9 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturdays. Telephone counseling does not provide health counseling or counseling for acute symptoms on call.
Information at airports and ports
In addition, there will be information points at Finnish passenger ports and Finavia airports, providing passengers with information on coronavirus.
Those information points will be opened "as soon as possible," the health authorities say.
The information material for travellers will be produced by THL. It will be available in eleven languages, including Finnish, Swedish, English, Estonian, Chinese and Italian.
On Monday 2 March, the city of Helsinki launched a hotline service intended for people concerning the COVID-19 outbreak.
