Some states are taking preliminary steps towards easing the measures for fighting the spread of coronavirus. However, the travel restrictions are carrying on with some exemptions.
Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will open their borders to each others' citizens from 15 May but the European Commission called Schengen Member States and Schengen Associated States to extend the temporary restriction on non-essential travel to the EU for another 30 days, until 15 June.
Therefore, Foreigner.fi asked the readers in a Twitter poll, " Do you think governments will allow travelling abroad for holiday next summer?"
In the poll, respondents were given three options, which were 'Yes', 'No' and 'Only in EU'.
The mini poll was answered by 66 readers and 69.7% of the readers think governments will allow travelling abroad for holiday next summer. 40.9% voted Yes'; 30.3 % voted 'No' and 28.8% said ' Only in EU’.
