Finland in Twitter's coronavirus search prompt
The global trust and safety team will monitor the activity to ensure that people receive reliable information.
Coronavirus (koronavirus, in Finnish) is spreading across the globe. In Finland, three new Covid-19 cases were detected on Friday.
People are constantly looking for information from reliable sources and technology companies are increasingly taking measures against misinformation.
Twitter announced this week their decision to team up with each country's national public health agency or with the World Health Organization whenever it rolls out the search prompt in a new country.
Users just need to type Covid-19 in the search bar to get reliable news.
Twitter says although it has not seen "significant coordinated platform manipulation efforts" regarding coronavirus and Covid-19, its global trust and safety team will continue to monitor activity.
Twitter's search prompt is now available in almost 50 countries including Finland.
