In the city of Jyväskylä a home care worker has tested positive for coronavirus (koronavirus, in Finnish), prompting a further ten people including colleagues and customers to enter home quarantine.

Jyväskylä municipality confirmed the infection on Tuesday when the quarantine ended.

According to the municipality, there is no need for colleagues of the infected worker to be concerned about further infection, but the quarantine has been called for as a precaution.

Both employees and customers, who are mostly elderly, are part of the group that has been quarantined.

The municipality said in a statement that it would not announce coronavirus infections individually and that the quarantine in question ended on Tuesday.

Care workers looking after customers in quarantine were advised on how to protect themselves during the fortnight of quarantine, according to the city.
